Chocolate Pretzel Cupcake

Oven Preperation: 375 F
Baking time: 18-20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/3 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1/8 tsp salt
3 tbls softened butter
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
2 eggs
3/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup milk
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Directions:
- Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt together.
- In a separate bowl, mix the butter and sugar together until creamy. 
- Add the eggs, beating after each addition. 
- Mix in the vanilla.
- Add the dry ingredients alternating with the milk into the wet ingredients and beat well. Always begin with adding the dry and end with adding the dry.
- Pour the mixture into cupcake tins about 3/4ths the way full and bake. 


Frosting:
1/3 cup melted butter
2/3 cup cocoa powder
a little less than 1/2 cup milk
1 1/4 tsp vanilla
4 2/3 cup confectioners' sugar
Directions:
- Beat butter and cocoa together.
- Mix in milk and vanilla. Beat until creamy.
- Slowly beat in confectioners' sugar.


Top the cupcakes with pretzel crumbs for finish!
